Light Staining Microscopes™ are intended for use by non-microscopists and medical personnel, such as forensic nurses, who are under stress and time constraints . Objects including whole sperm and many microorganisms are easily detected and identified in fluids extracted from rape victims. Light Staining Microscopes™ are NOT designed for morphological studies. The OS04 Trinocular Light Staining Microscope™ provides an erect image so that the mechanical motion of the slide and the viewed image are both in the same direction. This is intended to simplify operation and reduce stress on the examiner. Note: Normal microscopes have an inverted image. Thus, the image moves opposite to the mechanical motion. The OS04 is convenient for photography and video viewing with a camerra port mounted in its trinocular viewing head. The OS36 Monocular Light Staining Microscope™ was developed to minimize cost. It has the advantge of being even simpler to use than the OS04. It has the standard inverted image, and microphotography is accomplished through the simple removal of the microscope eyepiece and the insertion a OS14 or other digital camera adapter for your camera.
